Youth Mental Health Counselling

Connie is happy to work with youth ages 12+

Counselling therapy for youth has been widely recognized as a valuable intervention with numerous benefits. Connie provides a safe and confidential space for young individuals to explore and express their emotions, thoughts, and concerns; which may be otherwise challenging to share with parents or peers.

Through this open dialogue, youth can develop a better understanding of their own feelings and experiences, leading to increased self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Moreover, counselling equips youth with coping mechanisms and problem-solving skills; empowering them to effectively navigate the challenges they encounter in their personal lives, academics, or social interactions. This can include managing their mental health, neurodiversity, anxiety, stress, interpersonal relationships and depression. This can enhance their overall mental well-being and promote a positive outlook on life.

Early intervention through counselling is key to long-term success and can help address behavioural issues and prevent potential long-term mental health concerns. By fostering a supportive and empathetic relationship, Connie works with young individuals to encourage and build resilience and develop a sense of self-confidence, fostering their personal growth and development.
